Beulah Allgood

Beulah Lorene (Grimes) Allgood, 94 of Russellville, passed away Friday, March 10th in Indianapolis. She was born August 26, 1922 in Putnam County to the late Eugene and Lula (Hester) Grimes. After graduating from High School in 1940, she married Burley Forrest Allgood Sr. Burley passed away in 1984.

Beulah worked as a cook for many years. She also was a caregiver for many people. She enjoyed making cinnamon rolls and delivering them each week for her special friends. Beulah had a fantastic touch at decorating, and adding personal touches to everything. She was a member of the Easter Star, Ladies Aid, Heavenly Sunshine, Russellville Community Church, and was a founder of Browns Valley Baptist Church.

She is survived by her six children; Judy Allgood, Indianapolis, Burley (Vicki) Allgood Jr, Waveland, Gene (Pam) Allgood, Brownsburg, David Allgood, Brazil, Patricia (Steve) Keller, Indianapolis, Teena (Darrell) Strohl, Coatesville, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, six great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings; John Grimes, Randall Grimes, David Grimes, Freda Wiatt, and Katie Kelly.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 14th at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, 301 East Green St. Waveland, IN 47989 with Pastor Paul Zurcher officiating. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM before the service at the funeral home.

    Beulah was such a sweetheart. Our family will truly miss her. We always looked forward to visiting with her whenever we could at Allgood family events.

    Prayers for all of your family, Beulah no longer needs them. We know she is in heaven rejoicing with family and friends who made the journey before her and is busy preparing a heavenly place for others!
