Alice (Vanhook) Plemons, 83 of Greencastle, passed away Monday, July 9that the Putnam County Hospital. She was born on January 1, 1935 in Waveland to the late Howard and Frances (Branson) Vanhook. She was previously married to Gene Woods, George Chism and most recently William Plemons.
Alice worked as a waitress for a number of years at different restaurants.
She is survived by her children, Beverly (Bob) Thacker and Duane (Shelly) Woods; grandchildren, Zoey, Ben, Timothy, Richard, Nick and Rachell; great grandchildren, Sabrina, Lilly, Jack and Phillip; great-great grandchildren, Athenia, Annabel, Tyler and Aleina. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Elva Vanhook; and niece, Debbie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Gene and George; sons, Larry and David Woods; great grandson, Jessy; great-great grandson, Christian; brothers, Richard and Eugene and great nephew, Nathan.
There will be a graveside service held for Alice on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the Hebron Cemetery, Russellville, Indiana with Pastor Alan Small officiating.
