Frances Lea (Frazier) Sutherlin of Darlington, Indiana passed away at Franciscan Health Lafayette East, Lafayette, Indiana on June 28, 2018 at 10:35 A.M.
Frances was born in Greencastle, Indiana on July 30, 1938 to the late Cyril and Sarah (Braden) Frazier. She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1955 and married Jack Sutherlin that same year. He preceded her in death in 2015. Frances worked for R.R. Donnelley’s and Sons for 30 years and also sold Real Estate. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, Moose Lodge and the American Legion. Frances loved to crochet rugs, garden, solve logic puzzles, and cook some famous noodles. She loved being a “mamaw” to her grandchildren.
Frances is survived by daughters: Cindy Tomey and Tammy (Chris) Cohee; grandchildren, Sean Tomey, Nick Crull, and Kristin Vallaly; great grand children, Kaylee, Brent, Jaysa, Ayden, Sarah, Evan, Grace, Jaxon; and siblings: Lois McNeff, and Sarah Hubble. Also surviving is her bird: Polly
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Jack; parents, Cyril and Sarah (Braden) Frazier; son-in-law, Rob Tomey; and granddaughter Whitney Cohee; and sister, Alberta
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 3 2018 at Sutherlin Cemetery, Putnam County, Indiana with John Pettigrew officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Order of the Eastern Star via the Crawfordsville Masonic Lodge. Online condolences may be made at www.machledtservies.com.
