Norma “Joan” Everman, 87, of Russellville, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Ben Hur Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on August 18, 1932 in Russellville, to the late Floyd and Helen (McCormick) Trump. On August 2, 1953 in Russellville, she married Wayne Everman. He preceded her in death.
Joan worked as a secretary most of her life, beginning with the North Putnam County School Corporation Superintendent’s office from 1968 – 1998. After which, she then began working as the secretary for the Russellville Community Church where she worked until very recently. She enjoyed reading, baking and visiting with her friends. She will be greatly missed by her family and her church.
She is survived by her son: Phil (Michele) Everman, Dyersburg, TN, two grand daughters; Jennifer (T.J.) Hawthorne, Charleston, SC, Jamie Everman, Atlanta, GA, step-granddaughter, Lindsey (Cody) McGowan, Dyersburg, TN, step-grandson, Matt Williams, Lewiston, ID, great grandchildren; Declan Hawthorne, Brynn Hawthorne, Marshall Duvall, and Adisyn McGowan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Monday, November 4, 2019 at Russellville Community Church 103 3rd Street, Russellville, IN 46175 with Pastor Alan Small officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, November 3, from 2:00PM-6:00PM at the church. Memorial Contributions in Joan’s memory may be made to Russellville Community Church or the Russellville Community Center. Envelopes will be available.
