Wandalene Petry

Wandalene Petry, of Waveland passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Franciscan Health in Crawfordsville. She was born on May 17, 1926 in Alamo to the late Gilbert and Helen (Stonebreaker) Pickett. Wandalene graduated from High School in 1944. On May 13, 1944, she married Fred G. Petry. Fred preceded her in death on October 24, 1999.

Wandalene worked for the water company in Crawfordsville, and then later worked as the office manager at Shades State Park for many years. She was a member of Eastern Star, and the Alamo Ladies Aid. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

She is survived by three children; Diana (Nathan) Hester, Crawfordsville, Janice (Doug) Hamilton, Knoxville, TN, Richard (Penny) Petry, Waveland,  seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Ilene Elliott, Mary Kinder, and William Pickett.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, 301 East Green Street Waveland, Indiana 47989 with Pastor David Finch officiating. Burial will follow in Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 6:00-9:00 PM, Friday, February 1, at the funeral home.
